This is a Vintage ladybird Book titled FAIRY TALES it is from around 1923 and it states on the book "THE LADYBIRD SERIES".
Wills & Hepworth were printers in Loughborough. Between the two great wars they occasionally produced children's books. The books were large and thick. They contained only a few full colour pictures but the majority were line drawings. Some went under the title "The Ladybird Series".
This is an A4 sized book. It contains many short stories for children. It also contains a few Nursery rhymes.
There are 190 pages.
The front and back covers are board.
The book is not dated but there is a dedication written in pencil dated 1923.
There is no mention of an author or illustrator although the initials 'EKB' appear on several of the 15 full page colour illustrations.
"The Ladybird Series" is printed at the bottom left of the front cover. Inside it states "Wills & Hepworth, Printers, Loughborough".
The condition of the book is very good.
The boards have a little wear on the edges.
There are no tears to any of the pages.
Other than the small dedication on the front inside cover there is no other writing.
